Where Is the Best Location For a Furnished Rental in Sydney?

By  |

Sydney, Australia is infamous for its unbelievably expensive living costs. Don’t get me wrong, there are many upsides to living in the one-of-a-kind city. But you’ll have to pull out every trick in your saving book as Sydney is polled as being the 5th most expensive city in the world!

If you are looking to move to this beautiful city and start (or restart) your life, then you might want to look at furnished rentals for the time being. Or if you will only be staying for a short period of time it makes no sense going to buy all that furniture if you can’t take it with you. Think of the furnished apartment as a sort-of holiday house, it’s also a big bonus that these rentals are generally very trendy such as the Sydney furnished rentals offered by by Furnished Properties Pty Ltd or Meriton Serviced Apartments.

Now the question is where to live. This is very important to your needs. Are you a student? Do you need to live close to work? Would you like to be close to the night-life or more in a family area? These are all questions you have to ask yourself when determining where to live.

Another useful hint is to broaden your search to more than just “Sydney”. Sydney itself is considered the business district of the city and thus comprises of only a small commercial area, Sydney is actually made up of many suburbs. We have narrowed it down to the following:

• Bondi
Bondi is a wonderful area for the temporary dweller as its population is very temporary so you will have a wider selection. If you are looking at Eastern beaches in general remember to include Clovelly and Bronte in your search.
• Paddington
This area is for the city dweller. Include Potts Point and Darlinghurst in your search if you are on the lookout for a city space.
• Radwick & Glebe
These suburbs provide excellent bang for your buck and are ideal for any student dweller.
Those are the three suburbs we can recommend. Remember that asking goes a long way and just search a place on Google Maps if you are in doubt.
